Land between M4, A308(M) and Ascot Road (A330)
The aforementioned land is identified as Area 5C in the RBWM document - Edge of Settlement Analysis Draft Borough Local Plan December 2013. RBWM will be starting a Public Consultation on 10th January 2014 to gather opinions about housing developments on Green Belt land.
Elsewhere on this site, (Topics - Holyport Area Flood Risk), I show information copied from the Environment Agency website. This shows that Area 5C is under High risk of flooding.
Meantime some residents have received a letter as shown below;

Bloor Homes refer to the area as "The M4 Triangle" a nice friendly name for us to get used to, as if we all should already know this, but I for one have never heard it referred to as such.
Bloor Homes say they are committed to thorough and open consultation, but is it "open" to write to only a selection of homes, rather than to publicly advertise their intentions?
It would be amazing if Bloor Homes have any intention to build on the 75% or so of what they call the "M4 Triangle" that has a 1 in 30 risk of flooding, but that still leaves a sizeable amount of land in which they could cram housing, the occupants of which would have to have cars whose only access to the outside world would be via entrances on the A330 Ascot Road. This of course would dramatically increase the traffic on the already overcrowded roads in this area.
